Increased productivity in window production by Urban
We are there to make work easier. This is also true for our long-standing customer Höhbauer, producers of front doors and conservatories in Upper Palatinate. The customer wanted to replace their old production line they had for 25 years with a new one to save time and money with during the production process and to ensure more flexible working conditions. We finally succeeded in convincing them of our quality and our service performance.
Since 1950, windows, front doors and conservatories have been built in the Höhbauer plant in Luhe-Wildenau - everything from a single source. They attach great importance to quality and competence during their working process to make sure that everything is materialized to their customers‘ complete satisfaction. These were also decisive criteria for Höhbauer when they made their choice for the fitting machinery. Thanks to the high Urban quality standards and the sophisticated design of our equipment, we finally succeeded in leaving several competitors behind so that we could materialize a successful project together with Höhbauer. Our Buffer for Finished Elements with final assembly has meanwhile moved into the customer’s plant.
While finished windows left manufacture in an unsorted way in the past, they wanted to straighten things out now. Gereon Brück and Reinhard Sixl from Höhbauer explain what they expect from their new line:
„With our requirements we had a focus on distributing windows on 4 workplaces based on different criteria (e.g. roller shutter housings, bars, ….). A buffer should be placed upstream for intermediate storing of elements".
Customer’s expectations were 250 units in a single shift. We managed it to achieve even more!
The special feature of our system is -first of all- the structure that is always adapted to our customers‘ individual requirements and local conditions. The system for finished elements with glass consists of shelves with special rollers which are also appropriate for alu claddings. Shelf spacings of 180 mm were taken into account for any possible requirements in future. Special roller conveyors ensure a smooth outfeed even for extremely heavy elements of up to around 250 kg.
Thanks to the Quatro-Drive, the line is highly efficient and distribution of manufactured elements is done on currently four workplaces i.e. a roller shutter and a bar workplace as well as two „standard“ workplaces. As soon as more buffer capacity is required, the number of workplaces can be extened in future. Despite the minimum space required for the line, it comprises 56 buffer places and a turnable driving carriage.
Again, our long-standing customer is content with a new line by Urban and with the support we provided them with to have a clearly arranged production with a considerably facilated daily routine.
