Quickly prepared for the new S9000
Arndt Fenstertechnik has been a satisfied customer for more than 30 years
An integrated six-chamber profile in frame and sash, a single steel reinforcement for sash and frame, three continuous sealing levels and a high glass inset due to an overlap height of 26 mm: These are the characteristics the new PVC window S9000 of Arndt Fenstertechnik comes up with. A corresponding conversion of the Urban production lines was necessary to enable the window manufacturer from Gattendorf to produce their components suitable for passive houses in a process optimized way.

For more than 30 years, the family owned enterprise has trusted in Urban’s know-how in their production. This has now paid off once again. Without downtime, the production equipment had been converted in the running production to the new profile system.
Optimally adapted
Especially at the cleaning machine SV 800, several adjustments had to be made. So the Urban-experts of service manager Werner Häring exchanged –among others- complete tool sets and restriction knives. At the welding machines, new aluminum jaws for fixtures were installed.
They also adapted the software for Urban machines to fit to the new profile system featuring a modified installation depth of 82,5 mm and an excellent thermal insulation value of Uf = 0,89 W/m2K.
“This project shows the high investment security our customers may enjoy”, says Hermann Deller, Sales Director for Central Europe at Urban.
Thanks to the anticipatory design at the installation of the SV 800 eight years ago, it is ensured that an easy retrofitting is possible lateron. “Urban has kept its promise, as always”, says Thomas Arndt.
