But what exactly does “URBAN logistics” mean?<\/h2>\n\n
URBAN logistics systems are distribution and buffering systems that use sophisticated logic to bring a certain structure and organized workflow to our customers\u2019 production processes. This leads to improved internal operations and the handling of window components, such as frames, sashes, or prefabricated units.<\/p>\n\n
As URBAN and as partners to our clients, our goal within the framework of comprehensive project management is to ensure that products are manufactured on schedule. To ensure we can anticipate the logistical challenges involved, we conduct a structured assessment of the project\u2019s framework conditions during the initial phase of project implementation. As part of this initial assessment, we examine the on-site conditions, the existing production flows that need to be integrated, and the product in all its complexity.<\/p>\n\n
What tools do we use to plan “URBAN logistics”?<\/h2>\n\n
\u201cMapping<\/strong>\u201d \u2026 Through mapping, we aim to identify in advance the flow of various elements between sources and destinations and present this information in a clear, visual format. These key insights serve as the foundation for developing logistics management and are intended to provide a cross-functional overview of the order fulfillment process in manufacturing, encompassing planning, material control, and the associated information flows.<\/p><\/p>\n\n
This ensures that logistical tasks within individual production areas are seamlessly coordinated.<\/p><\/p>\n\n
